  Very beautiful scenery and environment, to avoid the massive crowds of people at the beach by the parking lot you can hike on the trail surrounding the lake. At the opposite end of the lake is an interesting suspension bridge and a short trail from there can take you to see the old BC Hydro building beside the lake. Wonderful place for hiking, picnicking, or just to enjoy a day outdoors. While there I also spotted this strange-looking overgrown log in the lake, it kind of looks like an overgrown boat.

  Beautiful lake. Good for swimming when it's hot weather. Make sure you check how to get in the parking lot by calling if possible. They close the gate around 8 or 9 in the morning. There is no where to park the car and walk in the entrance anywhere close to the lake. Plan ahead. We had to park the car in port moody and take the bus to get in.

  Awesome place. Must see for Vancouver visitors. Lovely, quiet lake. Has a nice trail around the lake, and it should take about 3 hours to go around. Make sure to come early, as the gates are closed once the parking lot is full

  Beautiful place to go for a hike or enjoy the sun on the beach. Lots of trails all around the lake for hiking with beautiful views. Great open beach for laying on the sand or having a BBQ on the grass. The lake itself is great for swimming, paddle boarding and more water sports. The water can still be cold at the beginning of July but always refreshing.
